Premium Bank launches the 1st The HelpStation Pitch Day

With a vision of becoming the best SME bank in Ghana, Premium Bank has rolled out its second initiative; Pitch Day, in its series of outlined The HelpStation initiatives for the year 2017 aimed at making SMEs more resilient, high growth and globally competitive. The HelpStation initiative, organized and managed by TANOE for Premium Bank witnessed a massive turn out of young and passionate entrepreneurs.

The Pitch Day presented 50 shortlisted SMEs and some startup businesses from the hundreds that applied the opportunity to present their businesses and projects to a panel made up of the Head of SME Banking Unit of Premium Bank, the CEO of The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE) and Executives from InvestinAfrica, Servled and African Entrepreneurs’ Hub.


The maiden edition of the Pitch Day which took place at Premium Bank’s Ridge branch in Accra saw the 50 businesses and entrepreneurs showcase their businesses to the panel with emphasis on their needs for funding and business support.

In a statement, the MD of Premium Bank, Kwasi Tumi expressed the Bank’s commitment to providing a holistic banking services and products tailor made to address the needs and challenges of SMEs in Ghana. He was excited about the turn out for the 1st Pitch Day and looked forward to the roll out of several other The HelpStation initiatives aimed at equipping businesses for high growth and sustainability.

Ekow Mensah, CEO of TANOE; the Organisation managing the The HelpStation for Premium Bank, said that, the Pitch Day along with other innovative and engaging The HelpStation initiatives will be a regular affair to identify businesses with potential for massive growth and provide them the needed push through the provision of adequate financing, requisite business advisory support and access to productive networks and constructive feedback from industry and subject matter experts.

Some significant businesses in attendance were Logiciel Ghana, E-Campus LLC, Center for Social Innovations Ghana, Kente Master, Incas Diagnostics, NBKitec and several others.
